furniture commission process

from idea to heirloom – here’s how it works

Every commission starts with a conversation and ends with a piece built around you. Here’s what the process looks like.

The process:

  1. consultation: tell me what you’re imagining – the piece, the space, the dimensions, your budget and your timeline. We’ll talk through wood species, design options and what’s possible.
  2. design & estimate: you’ll receive a detailed estimate with specific design elements before any work begins. No surprises.
  3. build: Once the estimate is approved, I begin working on your piece. I send weekly updates throughout the build so you’re never left wondering — and so we can make adjustments together if something unexpected arises or isn’t looking quite right. Most furniture commissions take 6–10 weeks.
  4. delivery: If local (arizona), I personally deliver your piece to its final location. Otherwise, I build a custom crate and ship directly to your door.
